Let's go on a Hike! Join us on a hike to Vermont’s highest peak—Mt. Mansfield.

What to Bring: Bringing a small backpack with snacks (and drinks?) may be fun.

What to Wear: Sneakers or hiking boots. Vermont weather can change pretty spontaneously, so dress warm ; packing a jacket and/or scarf is also a good idea. The average temperature during the day is about 50F.When to join us: 10 am (if you join us for the bar crawl, this might require setting your alarm clock).

Getting there: Check back.

Post-hike or rainy day activity: Beer flights and views at the Von Trapp Brewery and Bierhall. 

Let's Drink! Join us as we sample some of VT's finest beers and cocktails on a bar and brewery hop.

Where and When to Meet us: The bar crawl will require some day-of communication as we move from bar to bar, so make sure you drop your email in the RSVP page or reply card. We'll probably start around 7 pm at the Tavern at Edson Hill, which is a cute and cozy fireside lounge with a full bar. As the night progresses and things get blurrier, we'll likely make our way to more casual bars like Doc Ponds and Idletyme Brewing Company. If you get hungry along the way, each of the stops has bites you can grab.   

What to Wear: Casual.

Getting There: Drink responsibly... get an Uber.

Up for Another Hike? If so, join us on our second attempt to make it to Sterling Pond. Don't be fooled by the flat appearance of the pond--it sits pretty high up on the mountain and getting to it requires climbing quite a bit of rock steps. So, as with any hike, be prepared--start drinking plenty of water and getting good rest before heading over.

What to Bring: Bringing a small backpack with snacks (and drinks?) may be fun.

Getting There: The trailhead can be tricky if you're not looking for the pull-offs; signs for the trail are somewhat tucked back into the woods a bit from the trailhead entrance. It is located about 5 minutes (by car) north of the SML right off Smuggler's Notch Road.
